ANKARA - The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has announced that 841 people have been executed in Iran since the beginning of 2025.
The Office of the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) made a statement on the increasing number of executions in Iran. It was stated that the Iranian state has executed at least 841 people since the beginning of 2025.
Stating that 100 people were executed in Julye in the statement it was emphasised that this number was twice as high compared to the same periond last year.
The UN announced that among those executed were Kurdish, Baloch, Afgan, and Arab citizens, as well as women.
