ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who mwt with Foreign Minister of the Transitional Government in Damascus Sheibani, once again targeted the Syrian Democratic Forces and insisted on the "anti-Kurdish" stance.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister of the Transitional Government in Damascus Assad Hassan Sheibani held a joint press conference before their meeting in Ankara.
Fidan targeted Israel regarding the events in Suwayda, said: "Israel is the head of the spoilers. Israel has become one of the biggest actors of the dark picture that emerged in the events in Suwayda." Fidan continued to target SDF despite their statements focused on peace and negotiations, said: "They think that the 10 March Agreement does not bind them too much. They say that the 'Terror Free Turkey' process in Turkey does not concern them either. After March 10 and the process in Turkey, we do not see any confidence-uilding development of the organisation in Syria."
Speaking afterwards, Shaybani argued that Israel is a threat to Syria's security and said: "The reconstruction and recovery of Syria is very critical. We warn everyone to acoid chaos in Syria. Countries should support us. Yesterday, we met with US Ambassador Barrack in Jordan. We discussed the Suwayda issue. What is happening in Syria is the events created by Israel. We want a peace process."
Shaybani stressed that Suwayda has an important place in the history of Syria: "Druze are a part of Syrian society. There is never any intention to exclude them. This discourse is produced by Israel."
