NEWS CENTRE - A trustee was appointed to Kagizman Municipality ruling by DEM Party

Kagizman Municipality of Qers (Kars), governed by Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party, was appointed a trustee by the Ministry of Interior.
 
On 20 February, Co-mayor Mehmet Alkan was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison for "terrorist organization membership". The municipality building was blockaded by the police.
