Healthcare professionals' struggle for 'tax justice' continues

NEWS CENTER - Health workers came together once again to demand "fairness in taxes" and said: "While ministers travel on private jets, we do not accept that savings are made on us."
 
Health workers continued their protests in many cities this week, demanding "We want tax justice in healthcare."

Adana Medical Chamber and Health and Social Service Workers Union (SES), Dr. Aygül Karakeçi made a statement in front of the Family Health Center. Many health workers attended the statement. Adana Medical Chamber Family Medicine Commission Chairman Dr. Ahmet Batu said: “We ask the Minister of Finance; We are entering another holiday with a loss of income. When will you ensure justice in taxes?” 
 
ANTALYA
 
SES Antalya Branch's address this week for the action, which is in its 15th week, is Pakize-Yahya Erkun Family Health Center in Kepez district. SES Antalya Branch Co-Chair Dr. Kaan Taşer demanded justice in taxes and said: "While the ministers have not even given up traveling on private jets, we do not accept that savings are made on us. We do not accept that one-third of the wages of employees earning below the poverty line should be taxed. We do not accept a 35 percent tax deduction from us while a 15 percent tax is collected from banks and companies that declare huge profits. We do not accept that it will be taken from us with a tax deduction before we see the increase that is said to be made next month. We want justice in taxes."
